How Do We Make a Short Movie?

This is quite interesting topic that we make a short film by ourselves. I used to have a dream that to be a director. Also, I had an experience that made a short movie in my high school time, although this movie was about 3 minutes. In my view, there are 5 mains steps to build a short movie. The first step is Choose a Short Script. Although a filmmaker might be tempted to grab a camera and begin shooting impromptu scenes, a good film tells a story with a beginning, a middle, and an end. Script is core of film. The second is Create a Storyboard. It is not good enough that script is fulfilled with amazing content, but also need proper story background to let observers understand. The third is Scout for a Location. The place that I chose to make a movie is important. In my experience in high school, I only had limited choice that shoot in campus, but my school did have some beautiful landscape. The fourth is Select a Camera. This step is not necessary, because now we can do almost everything in computer, so we can make a movie also in computer. Finally, Edit The Film. In this step, editing cannot escape from controlling of computer. Editing the film is a huge subject and this needs more time than shooting.
